About Mark Willison, MFT:

Licensed, experienced and professional; helping you
experience life happier and healthier.
.

Hi. I’m Mark Willison and I am licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. I have been practicing on the Monterey Peninsula since 1983, provided counseling to individuals, couples and groups. Most of the therapy I provide is to adults experiencing difficulties with anxiety and depression often associated with troubled relationships or transitions in life or work related stress. Sometimes those conditions are so inter-related we don’t even recognized it until we begin the therapeutic process.

Important to know too, for 26 years I directed various programs for the treatment of chemical dependency, so I also work with folks seeking to find sobriety from drugs and alcohol and with their loved ones as well.

Finally, I have been providing EAP consulting, corporate trainings and personal performance training for career or sporting activities for more than twenty years. Read more about this work below.

I went to school where I grew up, in Bakersfield, California. I received both an undergraduate and graduate degree for the university there and did additional graduate study in Hypnotherapy at UCLA and UCSB.

When I first moved to the Peninsula I made my living as a photographer and writer for a television show. While fun and interesting, therapy work is what I love. I am married to a remarkable woman, I’m a pretty good golfer, yet still consider baseball to be America’s Pastime.

About Cecilia Bingham Bueno, MFTI:

Think, Believe, Become… .

Hello. My name is Cecilia Bingham Bueno and I am a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern working under the supervision of Mark Willison, MFT. I have a deep concern for all people and enjoy helping others enrich their lives.

I am a graduate of Chapman University’s Masters in Psychology program and earned my Bachelors degree in Addiction Studies from Bethany University. I specialize in drug and alcohol therapy and I am a certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor (CAADAC). I am also a certified Sexual Assault counselor. I am currently enrolled in the doctoral program at Pacifica Graduate Institute studying the connection between the mind, body and spirit.

I was born in Montana and raised in a small town in South Texas. At an early age I knew that I wanted to dedicate my life to helping others. I started by serving as a motivational speaker at a women’s prison in Southern CA. It was there that I realized how much I enjoyed seeking out new opportunities to give hope to those in need. I have lived in the Monterey Bay area since 2000, am married, and have the honor of having a blended family consisting of seven children.

I believe that life is too short to be living with fear and regret. Now may be your time to make a change. The first step is the hardest… calling someone for help. Today may be your time to “Think, Believe, and Become.”
